KOSEN is a global network service that connects Korean scientists and engineers around the world. As of 2022, it had grown into an extensive network of approximately 160,000 members across more than 70 countries. Since 1999, KOSEN has been operated by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) through programmes supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, and the Ministry of Science and ICT. Its primary purpose is to facilitate knowledge sharing among Korean scientists and engineers through its global network. It also provides researchers with a variety of services free of charge.
